Transportation of 2 Railway cars 30 mt. long from Budapest (Hungary) to port of Leghorn with final destination Nigeria

In October 2011 Aliani performed the transportation of 2 railway cars from Budapest (Hungary) to the port of Leghorn in order to embark them on a vessel destined to Nigeria. These cars are the first of a long series that will compose a project for the building of the Subway Network of Lagos. Each car had the following dimensions: mt. 30.00 x 3.00 x 4.30 / 35 tons. We sent two vehicles together with extendable low-loaders, in order to achieve a length of 32 mt. of low bed and with enlargeable beams so that the cars could be put inside and travel at 10 cm. from the ground with the aim not to exceed a total height of 4.40 mt. This height from the ground is actually the maximum height allowed for vehicles crossing Hungary, Austria and the mountain area between Cantagallo and Calenzano in Italy (in Tuscany and Emilia regions). Each convoy was 45 mt. long. Both vehicles were assisted by our Technical team that has been following both convoys all along the trip on board of our vans fully equipped for dismantling and removal of any guard-rails and road panels, in order to clear the extremely narrow streets of Budapest and Graz. We reached the port of Leghorn during the night perfectly timing the vessel departure, with big satisfaction of the final Customer who could so meet the delivery commitments for the start-up of the Nigerian railway network.
